The UK Wedding Show returns to Manchester on the 24th and 25th October and promises to be an outstanding event. Sponsored by the majestic Vincent Hotel, this year’s event is packed with everything you could possibly wish for to make your Big Day really special. With hundreds of exhibitors, you’ll be spoilt for choice!

Look out for the Liverpool Pedi-Cab company as they whizz round town on their eco-friendly vehicles, or even jump in and travel to the Show in environmentally friendly style!

Fabulous Fashions

The show will have the usual big names in attendance such as Fairytale Brides, Blush, Berketex, The Bridal Warehouse and Eternity as well as shoes by Elegant Steps. Menswear will be provided by Youngs, Slaters and Moss Bros among others and Florentyna Dawn will be showcasing some fabulous Mother of the Bride fashions. Debenhams and John Lewis will also be on hand to talk about their wedding list service.

For further inspiration, come along to one of the fashion shows which will be held at 12 noon, 2pm and 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

Travel and Tiaras

You may be surprised to see a big bus parked amongst the exhibitors in the form of Classic Bus North West who offer alternative guest travel for your wedding day. For more traditional transport needs, wedding car hire advice will be provided by David Anthony Chauffeurs, Platinum Wedding Cars, Diamond Wedding Cars and AWS Ltd.

A sparkling selection of tiaras will be on show by Adina Bridal and Ivory & Co. as well as a host of jewellers who will really make the Big Day dazzle.

And for that Extra Touch of Magic….

Photographers, videographers, beauty and travel advice will all be available at the show. As well as the usual wedding day essentials we have a huge variety of extra special exhibitors this year; highlights include chocolate fountains, dental experts and even an artist!

And of course, the famous ring-bearing Owl will be swooping into the Manchester show.

Live entertainment will be provided by Unit One Entertainment who will be playing prior to each fashion show.

Bev talking about the Harrogate Wedding Show on the Radio

Here’s the transcript from Bev’s appearance.

David:
I’m down, live at the UK Wedding Show, it’s on at the Harrogate International Centre. It started yesterday, today’s the last day. It kicked off just over an hour ago at 10 O’clock, it runs until 5 today, and I’m joined now by the event organiser, Bev Howard.

It is the first time the show has come to Harrogate.
Good morning Bev

Bev:
Morning

David:
It’s your first time in Harrogate, how’s the show going for you so far?

Bev:
We’re really, really pleased with the response so far. We had a fantastic day yesterday, and all the public who have come through the doors have really enjoyed the show.

Everyone seems to have gone away happy, there’s lots for them to see and do here. It’s a fun filled day, and people should come down and see what we’ve got to offer today.

David:
So if you’re thinking of getting married, you’re in the car, driving around North Yorkshire, and you’ve just popped the question, it might be a year away or whatever, tell me what you could find here, because I’ve had a quick look around, and there seems to be everything, from the cars right through to what to wear, the venue, what to eat. There seems to be everything, isn’t there.

Bev:
Yes, there is, there’s a vast selection. We’ve got lots of bridal wear for the bride, outfits for the mother of the bride and the groom, we have jewellers, stationers, photographers, we’ve even got an owl here, a ring bearer to carry the rings down the aisle, which is quite new. There’s plenty to see, there’s cars as you’ve mentioned, they’re all here in the venue, you can have a look at them, tiaras for the bride, even down to ice bags for gifts. Plenty of cake companies, and we’ve got a fantastic fashion show that’s taking place three times a day. That goes out at 12, 2 and 4pm.

David:
Right, so we’ve got literally 45 minutes until the next one, and there’s one again at 4 o’clock.

Bev:
And there’s one at 2 o’clock as well.

David:
And 2 o’clock as well. So really, instead of tramping round the shops, when you’re getting married. The ring shop, the dress shop, and the car, just come down here, and it’s all here isn’t it?

Bev:
It’s all here under one roof, for you to walk around at your leisure, have a chat to the specialists in all these areas, see whether there’s anything suitable for yourself, take the advice, go away with the show guide with all the details in for all the people who are here today, and see what it’s all about.

See a wonderful show, we’ve got live entertainment on stage prior to each of the fashion shows as well, if that’s something else that you’re considering. Plenty of venues here, if you haven’t already booked a venue. So there is literally everything that you could possibly want when you are considering the day, and if there’s only a few things left that you have to do, I’m sure you’ll find inspiration here at the show.

WOW! What a fantastic first show in Harrogate. Thanks to all those who were involved in making it a huge success. Brides and their guests were entertained with a fabulous catwalk show and were given a complimentary show guide and amazing goody bag to take away! The day was filled with fun and laughter…
