The UK Wedding Shows

An integral part of The UK Wedding Shows exhibitions is the catwalk fashion show that takes place three times daily at each of the exhibition venues. The catwalk stage provides an opportunity for bridal, menswear and mother of the bride companies to display their designs to their best advantage, using professional models, specially designed lighting, professionally choreographed routines and contemporary music.

The shows are all accompanied by a voiceover giving details of the companies that are participating in the fashion show, with details about the company and the stand that they are exhibiting on so that the audience know where they can see the designs close up and ask for advice or arrange a fitting. There is also a dedicated space in the show guide with details of all of the companies involved.

The UK Wedding Shows make a conscious decision to employ models who do not all conform to the stereotype image, in order to demonstrate that any bride and groom can look fabulous on their wedding day. The dresses are fitted individually to suit each model and show them at their best, with the company director Bev Howard co-ordinating all of the elements of each event. The stage is specially constructed at each venue by a specialist company who are available throughout the event to address any technical issues.

The stage itself is decorated with floral arrangements and provides an opportunity for floral design exhibitors to show their talent with a dramatic display. Entertainment companies can also book a short slot of stage time to promote their company with live music and entertain the audience before each fashion show. The area around the stage is carefully set up with rows of dressed seating to provide a pleasant environment for the audience.
