First in the North West Church of England takes a stand at The UK Wedding Show.

Future brides and grooms will have the chance to discuss their wedding with a bishop at The UK Wedding Show at The G-Mex Manchester on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th October. The Bishop of Bolton the Rt Revd David Gillett, will open the Church of England�s stand at the show.

Bishop of Bolton the Rt Revd David Gillett will say:

�The Church of England has the unquestionable privilege of arranging church weddings for thousands of couples every year. Choosing a church often means choosing a much loved local venue and the chance to connect with local clergy whose support and care can be invaluable in the years ahead. A church service offers a framework of meaning which can benefit a couple for the length of their future together.�

�It�s right that the Church is available for people where they are. So I welcome this opportunity to take our place in the wedding show so couples can have their questions answered about getting married in church.�

Joining commercial exhibitors from across the county, ranging from jewellery and dress designers to venue locations, florists, photographers, favour providers and honeymoon destinations, Church of England representatives will be on hand to highlight the benefits of getting married in church.

At the UK Wedding Show couples from Greater Manchester will be able to find their local church at the touch of a button by keying their postcode into an online database specially developed to help brides and grooms to be.

The Church of England has 350 parishes in Greater Manchester and 16,000 marriage venues across the country.
