How to get there. This link opens a new window showing the location of GMEX, Manchester at Multimap.By Rail The main railway station is Manchester Piccadilly. This is a 5 minute taxi-ride from G-Mex. Even closer are Deansgate and Oxford Road stations, which are within easy walking distance.
By Metro Metro trains run every 5 minutes and G-Mex has its own metro station.
By Air Manchester International Airport is just 15 miles from G-Mex. A rail link takes you straight to the City Centre.
By Car G-Mex is right in the City Centre of Manchester. Follow the appropriate directions below for a straightforward arrival at the show. The following directions lead you to the central G-Mex Car Park at the top of the ramp.
From the South. Leave the M6 motorway at J19 and take the A556 to Manchester, joining the M56 after 4 miles. Follow the M56 East until its end, when it becomes Princess Parkway. As you enter the city on Princess Road, you will pass under the A57(M) on a roundabout. Take the second exit. Continue under a railway bridge and over the road junction with Whitworth Street. The G-Mex ramp is next left.
From Manchester Airport. Join the M56 to Manchester. Follow the directions given from the end of the motorway above.
From the West. A56 into the city centre. Follow this road as it crosses A57(M) at a large traffic island. Continue as the road crosses the Rochdale Canal. Turn immediately right onto Whitworth Street. Take the first left off Whitworth Street and the ramp entrance is next left.
From the North. Travelling from North of Preston, take the M61 at junction 30. This joins the M60 just North of Manchester. Follow the M60 East and leave at Junction 17, heading South. This road becomes Deansgate when it reaches the city. Manchester Cathedral, on your left, marks the beginning of Deansgate. After the junction of Deansgate with Quay Street. Take the third left onto Whitworth Street West, then first left and the ramp is next left.
Or if travelling from the South of Preston. leave the M6 at J21A and take the M62 East. This eventually joins the M602. Follow the M602 onto Regent Road. At the end of Regent Road turn left onto Water Street, 2nd right onto Liverpool Street. At the traffic lights, turn right onto Deansgate. Take 2nd left onto Whitworth Street West, next left and the ramp is next left.
