Fanciful Floral Tips from Sandra at Sophie and Luna

Floral crowns. No longer are they reserved for the boho bride but for all brides. If you have never considered a floral crown, let me try and tempt you otherwise. The beauty of our bespoke service is that it is just that – bespoke!

1. I Take Thee Floral Crown…
Yes, that’s right. Trust me, there are no rules when it comes to modern day weddings. Our crowns look simply stunning set against a veil. Our beautifully bespoke, floral headdresses are the perfect match for a variety of veils from shoulder to cathedral length - and for all in between. When designing our floral crowns, our special process means veils can be secretly secured beneath the crown and will look effortlessly elegant.

2. Ribbons Galore
How about adding long ribbons to your bridesmaids and flower–girl crowns. This is such an adorable style and adds an extra bit of detail to your beautiful bridesmaids attire; for dresses with low backs, the ribbons look divine. I’m sure I don’t need to even to describe how adorable flower–girls look wearing these!

3. Mix It Up
Why not mix things up a little? Opt for a crown that blends seamlessly from the ceremony right up until last thing at night. The beauty of our versatile crowns means that they can be designed to compliment your hairstyle, dress and veil in mind and adapt themselves perfectly throughout the day.You could either decide to keep your veil in place or simply remove it so that you and your floral crown can party until midnight and beyond.

Remember, since our crowns are specially treated, they will not wilt. They will be able to last even longer than you will on the dance floor. We promise!

4. Fancy Floral Thank-You
Are you still wondering what to get as the perfect ‘thank you’ gift for your bridal party? Long gone are the days where brides choose gifts that will never be used again; instead it’s all about unique, personalised gifts that can act as a keepsake or even be worn again.

5. Stylishly Small
If a crown doesn’t tickle your fancy and you instead prefer something smaller and subtle, then you may find our bridal clips rather appealing. Choosing a smaller style or clip means that your crown will not require a full ring, which sits around your head. Instead, you can clip your floral piece in any direction that you please. This is a fantastic option for a half hair up-do (see picture). You can opt for delicate details or embrace the floral trend and go for big, bright blooms. Trust me–these are amazing!

6. For One & For All
This particular style is bursting with beauty. By curling your hair around the base of the crown, you can re-create this look impeccably. Paired with delicate buds, notes of lavender, pinks and blues, you will rival any jewelled headdress. Grace Kelly would be most proud. Alternatively, release your inner boho goddess by releasing a few strands either side of your face. *TOP TIP* This is an ideal way to use your crown after the wedding… Something I do, all the time!

See, I told you they are versatile.

7. Dramatic Details
Adding bigger blooms against smaller flowers can create a dramatic feel to your floral crown and can create a visual impact for all of your guests to see as you say your vows to your intended.

8. Ditch The Bouquet
Yes, you read that correctly. Have you ever considered not having a bouquet and instead wearing a dramatic floral crown instead? Our fanciful floral crowns can be paired with complimentary wrist corsages; these look delightful and have proved very popular with recent brides.

9. A Midsummer’s Dream

Kate Moss did it, and so can you.By not restricting yourself to one standard style, your bridal party could wear a variety of styles and flowers, which all compliment one another to create an ethereal, dreamy bridal party.
