The Wedding Fairy officially launches NATIONAL WEDDING DAY across the UK for the first time ever… a chance for couples to celebrate the most sensational day of their lives all over again in aid of Cancer Research UK. Whoever said a girl only gets to wear the dress of her dreams once was lying because on NATIONAL WEDDING DAY everyone has the chance to embrace and rejoice in that magical moment of saying I do every 12 months for an incredible cause. And it doesn’t matter whether you were hitched in a church 10 years ago, are getting married in a registry office tomorrow, planning a civil partnership for later in 2012 or just got hitched on a Caribbean island! Everyone is invited to this wedding reception with a difference to celebrate those nuptials all over again.

George said “We are SO excited to be hosting National Wedding Day this year in the stunning location of Hastings Old Town during carnival season. The atmosphere will be buzzing and we hope people will join us from across the UK to donate and do that first dance all over again!’
The main focus for the day’s celebrations will be Hastings Old Town where the official launch party will be hosted by New Style Events. Being described as probably the biggest wedding reception in the World ever, all the vital elements will be covered with a twist, to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. There will be cakes, flowers, dresses much more up for grabs via the big day raffle plus couples will be able to roll up their sleeves and compete for cake in the big day bake off. There is also a chance to win one of ten pairs of tickets for The UK Wedding Shows London ExCeL exhibition in February 2013 a fantastic two day exhibition that attracts thousands of visitors each year.
Visitors will be invited to purchase a pink ribbon in support of the charity’s work and write a personal message which will then be pinned to a brides wedding dress. This visual gesture is a way of reminding everyone exactly what the event is for and hopefully by the end of the day the wedding dress will be covered in messages of hope.
The event takes place on Wednesday 1st August 2012 12pm-7pm (statistically the most popular day of the year to marry in the UK!) in Hastings Old Town, The Stade Open Space Arena (next to Jerwood gallery)
