I am a shoe-lover and I have to admit I have bought quite expensive shoes for my wedding as I have to be comfortable in them all day!
Hi Louise, it is definitely better to have something that you are comfortable in, otherwise you will not wear the shoes again after the wedding and they will always make you think about how much your feet hurt on the day, not the best memory to have from your wedding! you could also tuck away a glamorous pair of flats to change in to later in the day, a good excuse to buy another pair of shoes!
