Cannes Film Festival 2016: Our Best Dressed List So Far

Every year when Cannes Film Festival comes around we know that it is guaranteed to be two weeks full of celebrities that ooze glamour, elegance and sophistication; with maybe a few questionable outfit choices… after all it wouldn’t be a red carpet event without at least one fashion faux pas!

To start our list of the best dressed this week is a style icon who never fails to impress, actress and recently announced mum-to-be, Blake Lively.
She set the style stakes high when she wore a red jumpsuit and matching neck tie by Juan Carlos Obando on day one of the festival; with an effortless wavy up-do and minimal jewellery the bright scarlet jumpsuit did all the talking. If you, or your bridesmaids are bold enough to rock red on your wedding day, take a look at this striking red Grecian inspired dress from the Dessy Collection by bridal designer Vivian Diamond sold at Bridal Gowns at Jodi.

Bridal Gowns at Jodi will be exhibiting at our London ExCeL Wedding Show from 14th-15th January 2017 on Stand D43.

Another Hollywood star that embraced colour was Anna Kendrick, who wore a fabulous figure hugging yellow fish tail dress by Stella McCartney. Embracing a summer shade certainly worked for Anna! Adding a splash of yellow in to your wedding shouldn’t be scary think sunflowers, yellow roses or pastel shades. We love these two pastel yellow “Esme Lace” and “Sarah Lemon” that are the perfect bridesmaid’s dresses for a spring or summer wedding!

Both dresses are from the Kate Fernley Boutique who is exhibiting at The North East Wedding Show from 14th- 15th January 2017 on Stand 146.

British actress Naomi Watts also looked exceptional on the Cannes red carpet in this glamorous, lilac strapless gown by Giuseppe Zanotti.
Strapless style wedding dresses are a firm favourite for brides, here are just two of strapless gowns by Sottero and Midgley from Bridal Gowns at Jodi who will be exhibiting at The London ExCeL UK Wedding Show from 28th-29th January 2017 on Stand D43.

Younger sister to Gigi, model Bella Hadid looked sensational (as always) in a sparkly cut-out design by Roberto Cavalli - a dress that is causing us some serious style envy! If a sparkly design is on the top of your wedding dress tick list, then take a look at this sophisticated sparkly dress from Maggie Sottero from Bridal Gowns at Jodi, who will be at The London ExCeL spring show in January. Be sure to take a look at her full collection on Stand D43.

We hope our best dressed line up from Cannes week one has got you inspired to incorporate some of the colours or designs in your wedding! To see all these dresses plus more book tickets to the UK Wedding Show today.
