Real wedding spotlight!
Angie and Dag share their beautiful wedding styled by our London ExCel venue dressers Mediterranean Occasions
“We chose Gaynes Park Barns to hold our big day in Summer 2014, am immaculately restored barn with an orangery and luxury accommodation situated in the grounds of a country estate. The gardens were in full summer bloom which looked stunning as my dad and I would walk the long Stoney pathway aisle to the orangery where ceremony would take place.
My husbands family travelled over from Scandinavia so the setting made it even more perfect!
My wedding dress was from Pronovias. I decided on a full length halter neck dress, with a fishtail and covered from top to bottom in delicate sequins. I also had a full length veil which had lace detailing to match the dress and my shoes were Sparkly Peep toe Jimmy Choo pumps which complemented my dress beautifully.
Dags suit was bespoke, with embroidered detailing inside the jacket with our names and the wedding date! He wore a beautiful black suit with white waistcoat and white tie. Finished with a purple button hole.
My seven beautiful bridesmaids each chose their own dress design to compliment their own figures, I decided on the colour and material! The 6 bridesmaids had lavender chiffon dresses, and my youngest 3 year old flower girl had an ivory dress with a full net skirt. The four eldest bridesmaids had bouquets, the two younger had matching floral wristlets.
Mediterranean occasions were amazing! I visited their studio a number of times. I was hoping for a glitzy glam look but sophisticated and elegant at the same time! With Ilknur from Mediterranean and Occasion help’s, it looked perfect! Better than I could have ever dreamed of!
And Dag and I chose large crystal tree table centre pieces on the guests tables, scatter crystals and personalized menus with guests names on under a glass place mat. It looked beyond beautiful!! On the top table I decided on crystal globes, with a floral ring around the outside matching the colour scheme.
For the wedding favours, we decided to add more of a personal touch and baked and ice our own cookies. After which we wrapped each individually in clear cellophane and sealed tight with matching ribbon and a label handmade with love!”
